In the 1990’s some small runs of professional models (known as Firebrands) were produced in Japan, made as gifts to artists and special dealers.Current low-end classical Aria’s are made in China.Many Aria AC classical concert guitars have been made in a Spanish workshop led by Jose Antonio since the mid-1980s.Aria were most well-known in the 80’s, producing mostly low to midrange Aria Pro II series guitars, however there are a few high-quality examples.Matsumoko in Japan manufactured all Aria guitars until late 1986 when cheaper models started to be produced at the Samick factory in Korea.In 1975 the Aria brand name was changed to Aria II.The higher-end of the Aria A classical series was made between 19 by master luthier legend Ryoji Matsuoka under contract for Aria in the legendary Matsuoka guitar workshop.
